Professional Vocal Coaching London

Singing lessons in Islington & London

One-to-one voice coaching for every age, level and style: from beginners to gigging vocalists.

Whether you've been singing in the shower for years or you've never sung in front of anyone in your life, our singing lessons in Islington are built to meet you exactly where you are. Pop, rock, soul and musical theatre: our vocal coaches teach across all of these, and they teach the voice you've got, not a generic version of someone else's. Lessons happen in our dedicated vocal rooms, four minutes from Highbury & Islington station.

What you'll learn

Breath support and posture: the technical foundation everything else sits on

Pitch and ear training: getting reliably in tune, every time

Tone and resonance: finding your sound rather than copying someone else's

Range extension: adding notes at the top and bottom without strain

Vocal health: singing without losing your voice, knowing how to warm up properly

Stylistic technique: belting, mix, riffing, vibrato, head voice, falsetto

Microphone technique: how to actually use a mic when you're performing

Performance and stage confidence: what to do with your face, hands and nerves

Song interpretation: making a song mean something rather than just hitting the notes

Grades and exams if you want them: Trinity, Rockschool, ABRSM pathways

Who singing lessons are for

Absolute beginners

You don't need to be able to sing in tune yet. Your coach will start with simple exercises to get your breath, posture and ear working together — most students notice their pitch is already steadier within two or three lessons.

Improvers

If you can carry a tune but feel like you've hit a ceiling, this is where one-to-one coaching pays off hardest. Often it's one or two specific issues (breath, tension, register transitions) that unlock everything.

Gigging singers and band members

We work regularly with singers in working bands, helping them protect their voices through tours, hit higher notes consistently, and stop losing their range halfway through a set.

Musical theatre, audition prep and grade exams

We coach drama school applicants, West End hopefuls, and grade students preparing for Trinity, Rockschool and ABRSM exams.

Kids and teens

25-minute lessons for children (ages 6-12), 50-minute lessons for teens and adults (13+). Pitched at the music they actually listen to.

How to start

1

1. Book a singing taster

£27 for children, £49 for adults. One 1-to-1 session with the coach who'd teach you ongoing.

2

2. After your taster, pick a membership

Children's, adult or shared (great for duos and harmony singers). All include free practice rooms and concert rehearsals.

3

3. Get singing

You'll be invited to our seasonal student concerts where you can perform with the in-house Planet drum band, if and when you want to.
