All Planet drum students have access to our practice rooms, and your membership includes free time in them each month. Here's how they work and how to get the most out of them.
Your free monthly practice
Weekly, Weekly Shared and GigReady members get two free off-peak sessions a month (1-hour sessions, 2–5pm on a weekday). Child, Compact and Compact Shared members get one free off-peak session a month.
Your free practice allowance is valid for that month only, and any unused allowance cannot be rolled over to the next month.
Peak and off-peak hours
You can also buy additional practice slots for either peak or off-peak hours. Off-peak is 2–5pm on a weekday; peak is 5–9pm on a weekday, plus all day at weekends.
If you are busy and work during the peak hours, we can also offer to give you a free peak hour on a less busy day instead. Please email us and we will arrange this for you.
Booking
Off-peak practice times can be booked a maximum of 48 hours before. Peak practice times can be booked a maximum of 24 hours before.
What's in each room
All practice rooms have at least two drum kits with Zildjian cymbals, a wide range of Latin and African percussion, electric pianos and a range of guitars, basses and amps.
Please bring your own drum sticks to your practice. The audio systems and laptops in the practice rooms are for teaching and examinations only, so we advise playing along using your phone and headphones.
Looking after the space
When you are using our practice rooms, please be out of the room on time, so the next teacher or student can be on time also.
Please make sure you return the drum set exactly the way you found it, as there are other students and teachers who will use it after you. Please do not leave any parts dismantled.
